Propagating more spiderettes...

The nice thing about spiderplant babies is that you don't need to cut them! You can just push/ break them off.

Here are the first 5 spiderettes from Miles' first stalk.


And here are the second 5. They're all pretty big, to be fair.


This is me mid-process of planting Quintessa... I used houseplant soil for both.


This time I found a much neater (and resourceful) way of adding cinnamon to the nodules - using egg cups for water and cinnamon, and dipping the spiderettes in!

And here are the two latest editions, ready to be introduced!

On the left is Quintessa (name meaning fifth, essence, quintessence - suitable for the fifth female-named spiderplant, and the first one made with 5 spiderettes).

And on the right is Percival (name meaning 'pierce the valley'). This one I planted in a bigger 6" pot, because I've noticed that Rafferty is already growing thick white fluffy roots out of the bottom of his 5" pot, within just 3 months!
